RBS Stenhousemuir

The development at Stenhousemuir was a cornerstone property in a major new retail park on the out-skirts of the town operated by Macdonald Estates plc. The main contractor responsible for the shell build was Tannsons, responsible for the construction of a 12,000 square foot purpose built retail units, which housed key brands as Lloyds Pharmacy, Clydesdale Bank and RBS.

The project was rolled out to the brand standard developed by design house Lewis and Hickey to create a vibrant environment which made extensive use of colours, finishes and materials to create zones for retail banking, corporate customers, private interview rooms, administration and RBS colleague areas.

HCI team worked in close partnership with MACE to ensure the project was delivered snag free and without fuss. With more than forty-five years experience in delivering major fit-out projects in the retail and financial sector HCI have substantial expertise to meet project challenges.

The experienced HCI team rose to the challenge of a delayed start caused by the main contractor handing the property over almost a week late due to structural snagging. The HCI delivered the project on-time through working seven days a week using highly experienced site managers each with more than 25 years of large financial project experience.

This enabled gains in flexibility of site operations and high efficient co-ordination of site contractors. Success of the project has been widely recognised and is evidenced by both the projects strong performance in HCI’s customer satisfaction monitor (achieving maximum marks) and RBS’s own supplier Key Performance Indicators. HCI currently top the supplier KPIs.
