House of Fraser Oxford Street
HCI have a long and successful track record of delivering client aspirations and coupled with the proven collaborative approach with House of Fraser, were the natural choice for the flagship store at Oxford Street.
Oxford Street was the first of the House of Fraser stores to feature the strong white out of black branding developed by Kinnersley Kent Design. From its inception the Oxford Street branch was designed to be the iconic centrepiece of House of Fraser, clearly signalling House of Fraser’s strategy to further strengthen its brand in the premium retail sector. Attention to detail was key to creating a truly first class interior at Oxford Street.
Exacting finishing of wood surfaces, precision cut glass and the extensive use of traditional lacquer to create high lustre surfaces were all essential elements to delivering a design led interior capable of showcasing the leading premium retail brands.

HCI’s experienced team carefully programmed the extensive fit-out works to minimise any disruption to the trading of the rest of the Oxford Street store. The majority of works were carried completed out of normal trading hours and carefully scheduled to return each area of the floor to operation quickly and on schedule.
The close working partnership between HCI and House of Fraser’s management teams enabled high levels of flexibility in delivering the programme, essential in delivering a design led build. HCI’s experienced in-house detail and product design teams enabled the vision to evolve quickly during the build process, ensuring high levels of client focus and ability to create and deliver successfully innovation.
