An aggressive property rollout programme with the addition of 46 branches to the HBOS network in Ireland, following the acquisition of the national branch network of the Electricity Supply Board.

In terms of the timeframe behind the rollout, HBOS and HCI have worked within a very aggressive  schedule with a target of four to six weeks for each site development. The location of the branches are spread out across major towns and cities within Ireland and average between 1600 sq ft and 1800 sq ft in size, which more than facilitates what HBOS requires.

A key factor behind HBOS’ success in taking on such an ambitious rollout programme has been the close links with its contracting partner Havelock Europa, who are extremely proactive in environmentally assessing and surveying the sites at a very early stage.

To date HBOS has opened 25 of the 46 branches and it currently has 16 sites that are at various stages of legal acquistion, planning or fit-out, which will eventually bring our figures up to 42 branches.
