House of Fraser High Wycombe
HCI have a long and successful track record of delivering flagship and standard stores. Coupled with the proven collaborative approach with House of Fraser, HCI were the natural choice for the new store at High Wycombe.
Located in the new Eden shopping centre, the store provides more than 100,000 square feet of retail space over four floors. The High Wycombe site had an ambitious programme schedule of eight weeks for the complete fit-out of the new unit, encompassing all aspects of store fit-out perimeter, centre floor and feature walls.
The High Wycombe store concept was a further evolution of the strong white out of black branding by design house Kinnersley Kent Design. The KKD concept was delivered by HCI’s experienced in-house design team to create a cohesive retail environment that was able to combine multiple brands without sacrificing or compromising the feel of the House of Fraser store.
Working closely with both in-house and concession brands the HCI design and product development teams created a series of prototypes, enabling the store to evolve during the fit-out process.
The ambitious programme was maintained through project management and innovative use of HCI’s comprehensive supply chain, which combined Havelock’s state of the art manufacturing facilities in Scotland with both near and far shore sourcing strategies. Such innovation ensured House of Fraser’s benefited from savings in both programme schedule and project cost.
The High Wycombe store opened successfully on the 13th of March, providing shoppers with a vibrant shopping experience with unique features as a ‘retail theatre’ to showcase fashion shows and men’s workshops and customer design workshops.
