House of Fraser Glasgow

The Glasgow flagship is the latest in a series of successful HCI projects for House of Fraser.

The major refurbishment works are scheduled to take three years, redeveloping each of the store's floors each year to minimise disruption to trading.

For a detailed overview of the project including time-lapsed photography of the build process please visit our project focus section of the website or click here.

The first phase of the project was the creation of a new Menswear department which houses brands such as Hugo Boss, Paul Smith and Polo Ralf Lauren.

The programme created four specific zones in the menswear department to attract shoppers. Atrium, Lifestyle, Fashion Room, Formal and Accessories area.

The first floor refurbishment programme was an extension of the white out of black concept design by Kinnersly Kent Design, which first featured in House of Fraser’s London flagship in Oxford Street, which was completed by HCI in Autumn 2007.

“The HCI team have evolved from the traditional Havelock manufacturing base with the ability to plan, organise and deliver interior fit out contracts in a thoroughly professional manner by combining a global shopfitting design and manufacture capability with a truly customer focused on site operation. This was exemplified recently when we were able to open two major new stores totalling 250,000 ft2 of trading space within 7 days of each other to an exceptional standard”
