HBOS
HCI was engaged as the fit-out contractor to deliver the Bank of Scotland corporate design to a new major site in Spring Gardens, Manchester. The goal of the project was to create the HBOS model by implementing the non standardised design over the lower ground floor of the site.
Working in partnership with the principal builder, Balfour Beatty, HCI provided all trades contracting including mechanical and electrical services to ensure the project was delivered to the required HBOS specification and client brief.
The 15-week programme was achieved snag free although the completion certificate was not issued until 3 weeks after hand over, due to circumstances out with HCI remit and control.
HCI were extremely proactive in their approach to dealing with Balfour Beatty and assisting them to resolve their issues, thus ensuring full completion at the earliest possible date.
The goal of this particular project was to provide a large colleague office area along with an interview room, clerical, staff and toilet areas. In addition to this there was a small banking hall with an interactive desk facility, these were added as it was felt that the site would attract some high-end business clients.
HCI were handed an empty shell, which was great from a working perspective as we were able to carry out works during the day and had no restrictions with regard to noise. Also not having staff and members of the public to consider really helped the programme. Key to the successful delivery of the project was regular communication between HCI, HBOS and the Balfour Beatty project teams communicating progress, phasing of works and any temporary implications.
