HCI as a member of the Havelock Europa Group is committed to further improving its environmental performance. The environment is a key strategic goal of the business. ISO 14001 accreditation will be achieved in 2009.

We have a group wide environmental policy in place to reduce our impact on the environment and enable our customers to realise their own environmental objectives.

In 2007 the Havelock Europa Group, appointed DNV as environmental consultants to measure our Carbon Footprint and assist in the demonstrable reduction of carbon emissions from business activities.

The Havelock Europa Group is committed to further advancing its environmental performance across its UK operations and supply chain to minimise its impact on the environment and provide its customers with innovative interior solutions.

The group drives environmental innovation in four key areas: Sustainability, Waste, Energy Consumption and Emissions and Corporate Social Responsibility.

2008 established significant gains in our environmental performance, as a direct result of the measures and activities implemented over the last 12 months. Highlights include doubling of carbon reduction target from 7 to 14% and reduction of waste to landfill by a massive 70%. Best practice on-site waste management has been adopted through partnering agreement with waste management experts Wastefile UK.
